Indonesian Nursing & Health Outreach and Science (INDOS) applies a peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, relevance, and scientific integrity of every manuscript considered for publication.
1. INITIAL SCREENING
All submitted manuscripts are first evaluated by the editorial team to determine their suitability for the journal's focus and scope. The manuscript is also checked for completeness, academic quality, plagiarism, and compliance with the journal's Author Guidelines and publication ethics.
Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected before entering the review process.
2. PEER REVIEW
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to qualified reviewers with relevant expertise. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:
- Originality and scientific contribution
- Relevance to the journal's focus and scope
- Research methodology
- Quality and presentation of results
- Discussion and interpretation
- References and academic writing
- Ethical considerations
3. REVIEW DECISION
Based on the reviewers' comments and recommendations, the editor may make one of the following decisions:
- Accept
- Minor Revision
- Major Revision
- Reject
The final decision is made by the editor after considering the reviewers' evaluations and the overall quality of the manuscript.
4. REVISION
When revisions are required, authors must carefully respond to the reviewers' comments and submit a revised manuscript within the specified timeframe.
The revised manuscript may be sent back to the reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.
5. CONFIDENTIALITY AND INTEGRITY
All manuscripts and information obtained during the review process are treated as confidential. Reviewers and editors are expected to maintain objectivity, avoid conflicts of interest, and protect the integrity of the peer review process.
INDOS is committed to conducting a fair, transparent, and professional peer review process to ensure the quality of its published articles.
